As global populations age and active lifestyle trends continue to grow, demand for joint health solutions is expanding rapidly across dietary supplements, functional foods, and healthy aging products.

Consumers are no longer looking only for symptom management. They are increasingly seeking science-backed products that support cartilage protection, mobility, and long-term joint function. This shift is driving manufacturers to explore innovative ingredient technologies capable of delivering stronger efficacy and greater product differentiation.

To support this market need, Natural Field recently completed a Phase I scientific evaluation of its Co-Loaded Glucosamine & Chondroitin Liposome formulation.

Scientific Evaluation Demonstrates Promising Cartilage Support Potential

The study was conducted by an independent CRO organization accredited by AAALAC International and completed in May 2026. Using a patented zebrafish cartilage injury model, researchers evaluated ten formulations supplied by Natural Field to assess their potential for cartilage repair and mobility improvement.

Under the experimental conditions, all tested samples demonstrated positive activity related to cartilage injury recovery. Improvements were observed in both cartilage fluorescence intensity and locomotor performance, two commonly used indicators for evaluating cartilage health and functional recovery.

Among the tested formulations, several samples outperformed the positive control (Chondroitin Sulfate Sodium) in cartilage repair performance.

    Key findings included:

    • Sample 5 achieved a cartilage repair rate of 55%

    • Sample 2 achieved a cartilage repair rate of 50%

    • Samples 3 and 4 achieved cartilage repair rates of 46%

In locomotor performance evaluation, which reflects recovery of movement ability following cartilage injury:

    • Sample 5 demonstrated 106% recovery efficacy

    • Sample 2 demonstrated 90% recovery efficacy

    • Samples 3 and 4 demonstrated 81% recovery efficacy

These results suggest that co-loaded glucosamine and chondroitin liposome formulations may offer meaningful potential for supporting cartilage health and mobility-related applications.

Growing Opportunities in Joint Health and Healthy Aging

Joint health remains one of the fastest-growing categories within the global nutrition industry. Aging populations, increased sports participation, and growing awareness of mobility-related quality of life are driving demand for innovative ingredient solutions.

Manufacturers are increasingly looking for ingredients that can support:

    • Joint comfort and flexibility

    • Cartilage protection

    • Mobility maintenance

    • Active aging formulations

    • Sports recovery products

As a result, advanced delivery technologies and scientifically validated formulations are becoming important tools for product differentiation.

From Functional Ingredients to Application-Oriented Solutions

At Natural Field, we believe that ingredient innovation alone is not enough. Brands increasingly require scientific validation, formulation support, and application guidance to accelerate product development and reduce commercialization risks.

Building on our ingredient expertise and liposomal technology platform, we are expanding beyond raw material supply to support customers with formulation-oriented solutions.

For companies developing products in joint health, sports nutrition, and healthy aging categories, our team can provide:

    • Functional ingredient supply

    • Liposomal technology solutions

    • Scientific research support

    • Formulation development guidance

    • Application concept recommendations

Our goal is not simply to sell ingredients, but to help partners transform high-quality ingredients into more competitive finished products.

If you are exploring next-generation joint health formulations, Natural Field welcomes the opportunity to discuss ingredient selection, formulation strategies, and customized solution development.
